Patients who need blood have several options. They may receive blood from the community, use their own blood (autologous) or receive blood from donors they have selected (directed donors). United Blood Services offers autologous and directed donations, as well as other special and therapeutic collections and stem cell processing, in certain locations. Select your local blood center and contact the Hospital Services or Special Collections department for your area.
